Who We Are
Our History
Palomar Family Counseling Service is a nonprofit counseling agency formed in 1956 by community leaders who recognized a need in the north county of San Diego for professional and coordinated counseling services for children and families. Strong volunteer community support founded the agency’s current main office in Escondido as well as the establishment of satellite offices in Fallbrook, Poway, and Vista. We have been incorporated since 1992 as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.
As a longtime employee and visionary, Executive Director Irene Saper led the nonprofit counseling agency through significant growth for decades. Since early 2015, the new Executive Director and more than eighty dedicated staff continue to provide a wide array of clinical services in our office settings as well in schools and other community sites all over North County San Diego.
