About Whisper Snyder:

Whisper is a  Licensed Marriage Family Therapist  who has a passion to help people live better lives and overcome some of the most challenging circumstances.. She sits with clients daily who are struggling with the darkest parts of their stories.  She is also serving on a Congressional Review panel  helping to advocate for research that will positively impact mental health.

Whisper understands the challenges of mental health and grief on an academic level and personal level. Growing up, Whisper has experienced a wide range of painful circumstances that has allowed her to sit in this discomfort of life with her clients facing their own painful circumstances.

In 2023, National University released a mini documentary Echoes of Resilience about Whisper’s story of loss, resilience and grace. The story of Whisper’s life has now won numerous awards. Whisper has spoken at Military Spouse San Diego and Military Influencers Conference in Vegas encouraging stories of resilience and protecting our mental health. National University named their military spouse scholarship after Whisper’s contribution to the community in encouraging them with her story.  Whisper’s story was also published in We Are the Mighty this past year.

About the Workshop:

Suicide. It’s one of the most stress-inducing topics to deal with in therapy, and almost every therapist will treat a client who is struggling with suicide. It is important to know the value of being trained in suicidal ideation, history of attempts, resources available and law and ethics when developing a proper treatment plan for clients. Whisper speaks from loss and experience to provide the tools and knowledge to feel better equipped when working with those struggling with suicide.  Attendees will be awarded 6 CE credits.

This training is intended for professionals working in the mental health field, families, loved ones and any one affected by suicide,.
