Palomar Family Counseling Service is thrilled to host a rare and powerful training opportunity in Southern California: a 2-day in-person TF-CBT intensive led by one of the nation’s top experts, Alison Hendricks, LCSW of Hendricks Consulting.

Alison literally helped write the book on trauma training – she is the co-author of the widely used Child Welfare Trauma Training Toolkit and has trained thousands of clinicians across the country. Her trainings are known for being highly interactive, practical, and culturally responsive.

This training has been specially tailored for work with Latino children, youth, and families, with specific attention to cultural adaptations, immigration-related trauma, and family engagement – while remaining 100% effective and appropriate for all children and adolescents who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).

One registration fee includes absolutely everything you need to become a nationally certified TF-CBT therapist:

  • 2 full days of interactive in-person training (13 Continuing Education credits)
  • All training materials + official TF-CBT workbook
  • 12 monthly 1-hour consultation groups (the exact requirement for certification)
  • Certificate of completion
  • Eligibility to apply for TF-CBT Certification through the TF-CBT National Therapist Certification Program

When: Thursday & Friday, February 26–27, 2026 | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM both days Where: University of San Diego (in-person only)

Investment (all-inclusive):

  • Licensed Therapists: $750
  • Associates: $500
  • Students / Trainees: $350
  • 20% discount for groups of 3 or more.  Contact ddrazenovich@pfcs.agency for the special discount code.

Space is strictly limited and these trainings historically sell out quickly.

Participants must complete the pre-requisite TF-CBT Web training on their own time (https://tfcbt.musc.edu) prior to 2/26.  There is a one-time $35 fee for this.

This is the most cost-effective and streamlined way in California to complete your initial TF-CBT training and consultation hours in one package—and walk away on the direct path to certification.
