Our Prevention & Early Intervention Team announces that once again Dina Camp is back!  Dina Camp is a fun-filled weekly event offering Dinosaur School for kids and workshops for parents. Dinosaur School strengthens children’s social and emotional skills, such as understanding and communicating feelings, using effective problem-solving strategies, managing anger, practicing friendship and conversational skills, and behaving appropriately.

Children should be in PK/Tk to 3rd grade and attend Laurel, Libby, or Mission Elementary Schools in the Oceanside Unified School District or Foothill Oak, Grapevine or Maryland Elementary Schools in the Vista Unified School District.

Parents stay for the full session and participate in workshops designed to strengthen family relationships.  Water, snacks, and materials are all provided.  Plus, there are weekly prizes!

Dina Camp occurs Tuesdays and Thursday from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. July 19, 21, 26, 28 and August 2, 4, 9, & 11.  Dina Cam is held at the Chavez Community Resource Center, 605 San Diego Street, in Oceanside.

Registration is required.

The event is funded by the County of San Diego, Health & Human Services and is free for parents and children.
